Susan Duncan, MJE, has advised yearbooks/newspapers for 29 years. Over the years, her staffs at multiple East Texas schools have received numerous Texas ILPC Star Awards, The Lone Star Award and NSPA Pacemaker awards. She has served TAJE as a regional rep, state director, president-elect, president and past president. Duncan has conducted workshops on yearbook, photography and technology topics at state and national conventions. She is a recipient of the UIL Sponsor Excellence Award and the Edith Fox King Award. Currently, she teaches computer programming classes as well as advising The Cardinal (yearbook) and Cardinal Connection (online newspaper) at Sabine High School.

Susan will shadow current convention director Pat Gathright at the 2016 convention. Then transition to director for the 2018 convention.
