What is the reason you love teaching journalism?
I love teaching journalism because of the relationships I am able to build with students over time. I am able to see them mature from scared underclassmen to confident graduates who are ready to be successful. I am so fortunate to be able to be the ONE class that teaches more than a subject; journalism teaches people about people and life.

Every student needs a place to belong.

What is the most important element to a successful program?
Setting SMART goals and being flexible. Remembering it’s learning the process and not being afraid to try new things.
