“As someone unsure of journalism, having the opportunity to attend UNT’s Scripps Howard Fund Emerging Journalists Program multimedia workshop and working with some of the most passionate student journalists I know to get our piece published in the Denton Record-Chronicle was tremendously rewarding. Later, being placed at KERA for my internship, allowed me to foster relationships with professional journalists, giving me a better understanding of how newsrooms operated to gain much respect for the work the journalism industry is responsible for.” – Testimonial from Poojasai Kona who worked at KERA in Dallas in summer 2024
